About Us (Updated July 17, 2007)Tellus Operating Group, LLC ("TOG") is an oil and gas operating company based in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Company founder and manager, Richard H. Mills, Jr., began acquiring oil and gas properties in 1992 using traditional joint venture business structures. After acquiring several properties, a decision was made to adopt the limited liability company (LLC) structure for future acquisitions. TOG provides all technical, operational and administrative functions that are needed to enhance the value of the assets of the companies for whom TOG operates. Through the LLC structure, investors receive the traditional tax treatment attractive to oil and gas investments, while enjoying limited liability protection similar to a limited partner or a shareholder in a corporation. TOG is now one of the largest independent oil and gas operating companies in Mississippi. TOG is also prominent among oil and gas operating companies in Louisiana, and has an active coal seam gas production operation in Rogers County, Oklahoma, near Tulsa. As of July, 2007, TOG was operating over five hundred oil and gas wells in eighteen fields in Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma. As of the same date, TOG employed thirty-three full-time personnel in its central Jackson office and fifty field personnel based in the Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma producing areas. The Mississippi properties are located in Baxterville, West Chaparral, East Heidelberg, Free State, Leaf River, Moselle, Parker Creek, Topeka, Vintage, Edwards and West Yellow Creek fields. TOG also operates wells in Antioch, Lisbon, Shreveport (Cross Lake), and Greenwood-Waskom fields in North Louisiana. In South Louisiana, TOG operates Fordoche, Montegut, and St. John fields. TOG, as operator, is responsible for maintaining and enhancing production for the energy producing properties it operates. Whether conducting seismic surveys, exploration and development drilling, or workovers and completions, TOG's ultimate goals are to find new reserves and increase production.
