The field is located approximately 18 miles south of Houma, Louisiana, near the town of Montegut, in the Point-Aux-Chene Wildlife Management Area.
Discovered in 1955 by Southern Natural Gas Company, initial development was completed by the late Fifties. Tellus Operating Group's ("TOG's") predecessor, Energy Management Corp., acquired the property in May of 1992 from Sonat, which was producing only three wells at the time.
TOG currently operates five producing wells and one SWD well. Production is from the Texularia W (Tex W) Series of sand packages from a depth of 11,300' to 12,200'.
Condensate and water are gathered at the central facility located at the Waterford A-2A well site where it is separated with oil allocated and sold and water disposed of at our disposal well on site. Gas is gathered via our 8" main field gathering line, compressed, dehydrated and then sold to market via Louisiana Intrastate Gas Pipeline.
